April Click of the Month~ The Odes Project

odes

I was recently introduced to a new worship project created for the sole purpose of worshiping the Lord.  ”But aren’t all worship projects created for that purpose?” you may ask.   Sure they are!  But The Odes Project takes nearly no credit on the part of producers, musicians, authors and gives all glory to God.  In fact, the sum total of credits on the project take up less space than a large postage stamp.  And, although the project has numerous well know artists, you cant find a their names on the CD insert.

After getting my head around that imposing fact I realized that this is really, really, good stuff that deserves some looking into.  The music is contemporary and yet there’s traditional and modern facets to it bringing an antiphonal flavor that has been missing in much of the worship music of our times.

Based on the Odes of Solomon, this project utilizes text with a deep, rich historical church foundation bringing congregations together in worshipping God with the earliest churches dating at some time around the middle of the second century.

If you haven’t heard of The Odes Project you really must have a look.  Visit the web site and learn all about how this project came about, what the goal and purpose of the project is and how it can have a revolutionary effect on your church’s worship experience.

Visit the  “Click of the Month” at the top right under “Gotta Click” to check out Volume 1 and Volume 2 of The Odes Project and enjoy this very special worship project!
